Touch for Health Training... What's in it for me?
by Valerie Remhoff

Touch for Health is a form of Kinesiology.  It was developed in the 1970’s by Dr. John Thie. The theories and techniques are based on Applied Kinesiology which was developed by Dr. George Goodheart.  Dr. Goodheart developed his system for medical doctors.  Dr. Thie believed that many of the techniques were simple enough for anyone to learn and use to improve their own health and wellbeing.  He saw a need for people to be able to take control of their own health and to have tools to help their own family.  He created Touch for Health in order to make this simple form of healthcare accessible to everyone.

In a Touch for Health balance, specific muscles on the body are used to provide feedback.  Gentle pressure is applied against a muscle’s range of motion to determine if the muscle will lock (hold in place) or unlock (move when tested).  These responses give the tester information on the body’s energy system.  Through a series of simple techniques, such as rubbing or holding a point on the body, the energy system can then be rebalanced to aid the body’s own natural healing process.  All manner of issues can be helped with Touch for Health techniques from muscle pain or weakness, to emotional stress and distress.

So why learn it?  The next time you or your loved one has a headache, would you like to be able to help alleviate the pain in a matter of minutes without the need for medication?  When a friend breaks down over a stressful issue, would you like to be able to help alleviate some of her pain and distress?  When your child is having trouble focusing or concentrating or is acting out, would you like to have some tools to help him?  Maybe you just want to know what food is responsible for upsetting your stomach or making you feel so sluggish after eating.  Maybe you are a pratitioner who would like more options in the way you help your clients.  Touch for Health training teaches you techniques that can be helpful with all of these situations.  It is easy to learn and you can start using it right away!

So what are you waiting for?  Take control of your own health and wellbeing and learn Touch for Health today.  You’ll be so glad you did!!
